It is a good idea to post a TL;DW when posting a video link. - eviltoast

I have noticed that some users here don’t have time to watch videos. I think on most of the video links I share here, there are always users commenting that it is better to read an article than watching this video. To be honest, I don’t like all this complaining. It is kind of annoying.

So to make the users who dont have time to watch a video happy. Post a tldw summary. You dont have to write it yourself or anything. Just use chatgpt or something similar.

I have also noticed that there is better engagement and discussions when a tldw is posted.

    How do you input a video into ChatGPT though. Could just do the transcript but a brief description to ChatGPT won’t allow it to grasp the context enough.

        And what you get may or may not be unrelated autocomplete garbage.

        ChatGPT is not for important things.

          It’s usually fine enough to generate a summary for social media use.

          As long as you’re careful with your prompts, reducing or even eliminating hallucinations is very doable.
