Around half a year back I’ve purchased a relatively high end PC with an i9 12900KS and a Lian Li Galahad 360 Liquid Cooler. From the first week I had it, the CPU overheats quite fast. Occasionally resulting in bluescreens duo to CPU overheating as well. This even happens when playing a non taxing game like League of Legends on 1080p, the CPU reaches over 85c after an hour or so. Cinebench INSTANTLY goes to 100c, half a second after starting the stresstest. Yes, I know that this card is known to run hot, but this has to be too hot right? Otherwise I probably also wouldn’t get the bluescreens.

I’ve already tried the following:

  • Installed a contact frame
  • Remounted my cooler + applied quality thermal paste
  • Undervolted slightly in the bios: offset voltage minus 0,03000
  • Long power limit 150 and short duration 241 as recommended by Intel
  • LLC to 4
  • Fans on max speed when heating up

The only problem I can think of is this: The Galahad 360 comes with 3 fans of which I have 2 installed, due to not having enough room. But those 2 fans still cover the radiator and there are a total of 8 120mm fans in there, so I doubt this is the problem.

Does any one else have the i9 12900ks and do you have similar problems? Or can someone please give advice on what I can still do? I’m just at a loss now after trying so much already.
