I have been playing on console for years and I have enjoyed it since I have always been playing casually. However, recently I have become increasingly frustrated with the lack of good games and the variety of genres on console. Besides that I currently dont have a pc, only a macbook for uni. Though, when im at home I would rather just do my work on a pc. All of this AND the fact that every single day my 13 year old pre-ordered ps4 seems like it is about to explode trying running todays titles, I am seriously considering buying a pc.
Now, i’ve done some research but I am totally lost on what I would need or in what direction I should look.
So I am willing to spend €1600 max.
I really want the pc to be as future proof as possible. However I do realize this comes at a cost and my budget may be too low.
I would want to have no problems running most games at least at high quality 1080p. Being able to run 1440p or 4k comfortably (60fps) would be cool but not necessary at all.
I am just very lost about the price/performance of the different brands of GPU’s and CPU’s. I have a tendency to go overkill out of fear it wont meet my needs, if that makes sense. Im trying to avoid that.
Then also, on what do I base the cooler I need to get? Water cooled or not? And if not how do I navigate between the hundreds of fan coolers available on the market? I want my pc to be as quiet as possible.
I am sorry for the many many question and I really tried to research but it just doesnt make a lot of sense to me. There are so many options 🥲
All help is much appreciated!
