    I lived in Salem and visited the small towns between Portland/Salem.

    It’s backwaters AF. Pro-Trump, people who were really angry that a dude bend the knee at a sports game.

      Oregon is just a microcosm of the rest of the U.S., empty land being hard red while dense urban centers are firmly blue. Malhuer county is bigger then Delaware, Connecticut, and Rhode Island combined but has 30k population… and went about 70% Trump in 2020.
