Darnold? So Vikings are tanking for…???

    Shedur Sanders? Beck? Ewers? ewwwwwww

Not a huge fan of 2025 class. I think there’s something to Sanders but is he isn’t generational. Ewers is Ewers. Beck reminds me of Lawrence - competent and huge but nothing special.

FWIW, QB free agency was also ass. The best contract was given to Kirk Cousins so it shows that the real highlights are already locked up in franchises.

Maybe Darnold just wasn’t on the right teams, or had the right coaches, to show what he’s capable of. This is his moment to shine.

But whatever… with the Vikings getting a lot of their needs met in Free Agency, they look to be going after a QB in this draft. How much that will cost, I have no idea. But they can now give up more picks than they could have before FA.

There are some good gambles in later rounds and Darnold can be a bridge guy, absorbing the shock of hitting the league.

If Penix goes to 2nd round like these drafts are rating him, I’d grab him. He’s skinny, but so is Jayden Daniels.

100%. Really fun player with a high ceiling and is a testament to his mental toughness and focus. I wouldn’t want him starting the first year, though. Rookies hopping in are burdened with the league’s expectations and just feel like they’re more likely to risk injury.
