Tried to uninstall / reinstall wefwef app. Uninstalled my browser instead, now wefwef insists that it's still installed but it seems like just my regular web browser. - eviltoast

I’m confused! Before I uninstalled wefwef all of the browser interface was hidden. But now the address bar and “new tab” button plus other interface elements visible.

Assuming this is on Android, it’s because wefwef doesn’t quite work the same as other apps – as a PWA (progressive web app), it gets treated more as another instance of your browser than a new app. Just hold down and drag it to the ‘remove x’ sign at the top of the screen to get rid of it.

I understand that, the problem is that the behavior is different after reinstalling the PWA.

This could be because I used a different browser. I used Opera this time instead of Vivaldi which I had used last time. It’s just that elements that should be hidden are visible, like the address bar.

At leady that’s the experience I had with Vivaldi.
