Reading about all the ways people and environments are exploited by increasingly powerful corporations headed by the power hungry and staffed by the indifferent is nothing more than digital self-harm if it doesn’t inspire action or a shift in attitude in you or others.

Should you demand a better world from your politicians and neighbors? Yes. But don’t fall into the trap of just looking at and upvoting painful truths. The self-taught, highly informed cynic does far more harm to themselves and far less good to their community and change in general than the person who doesn’t spend all day pressing their bruises and instead builds their connections with other people.
