Body found tightly wrapped and partially buried under Brisbane unit complex identified by police - eviltoast

The remains of Tanya Lee Glover were found by cleaners under the complex on Alderley Avenue in December.

Her body was partially buried, tightly wrapped, covered in clothing and bedding then hidden behind a brick wall.

Police later confirmed the remains were female and revealed there was “trauma” to the body and that they were treating the death as suspicious.

It is believed Ms Glover died between 2009 and 2015.

Imagine being killed, and no one noticing for 7 years :-(

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Detectives have identified a woman whose remains were located at a unit complex at Alderley in Brisbane’s northern suburbs last year.

Her body was partially buried, tightly wrapped, covered in clothing and bedding then hidden behind a brick wall.

In a statement released today, police said inquiries suggest Ms Glover — born on August 1, 1971 – moved to Queensland from New South Wales in 2006 and lived in the Fortitude Valley area until 2010.

Earlier this year, Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham called the investigation “extremely complex”.

“To try and trace the movements of an as-yet-unidentified woman from at least seven years ago is extraordinarily challenging,” Detective Superintendent Massingham said.

The complex is owned by Brisbane Housing Company and residents said at the time the discovery of the body left them alarmed and shaken up.

    I’m a bot and I’m open source!

“Our preliminary information is that she kept very much to herself … and wasn’t active on social media,” he said.

She moved to Queensland from New South Wales in 2006 and lived in Fortitude Valley until 2010.

Ms Glover, who would now be 52, was not known to Queensland police and had not been reported as a missing person.

That’s wild! That isn’t seven years. That’s at least 10-15 years. It’s also super sad, she literally had nobody.
