Research found drinking even a small amount of alcohol before bed can adversely affect sleep quality. People who do not get enough REM sleep can experience emotional problems. - eviltoast

    They originally theorized it was the antioxidants 30+ years ago. However more recent papers have shown that it’s the alcohol itself that has the benefits, at the right dosage.
