It wasn’t the sheriff, the sheriff’s son, or the sheriff’s son’s friends.
It wasn’t the sheriff, the sheriff’s son, or the sheriff’s son’s friends.
So maybe it was a genius that wanted to get the story out. I wouldn’t have known about it otherwise.
The Ouray County Sheriff’s Office cited Paul Choate, 41, who admitted to stealing the newspapers early Thursday morning. He returned them to the Plaindealer office Thursday night with an apology. […] Choate, who owns Kate’s Place restaurant in Ridgway, admitted he took the newspapers because of the front page story. […] The Plaindealer is not disclosing Choate’s relationship to the sexual assault case. The theft was not connected in any way to the three defendants in the case, their families or the Ouray Police Department.
They’re promising more details in next week’s edition.
If anyone even gets it!!!
Well, there’s plenty of opportunity for someone else to be outraged by the headline - maybe they can start a trend!!
Guy has to be connected to the sherif in some way right? Or is he genuinely pulling a double bluff and this was his intended outcome of the theft, ie national attention?
The paper says the guy isn’t connected to the cops, the suspects, or their families. Someone in another thread speculated that it might be someone connected to the victim.
