    I would have thought Space Jam would have had more to do with that. Furries as a concept isn’t as popular with the 50 yr old crowd.

      Kids were watching that stuff on VHS for at least 30 years after, well into the 2000s. My first job as a teenager was at a video rental shop in the late 90s. Robin Hood, Secret of NIHM, Lion King, All Dog’s go to Heaven, Balto and the like were always super popular, even the low budget sequels.

        That makes a lot of sense. It’s easy to forget life before DVDs & streaming, the latter being so damn normal now.

      Furries started to become a group in the 70s, with people who would’ve grown up with Robin Hood.
