I’m currently using a combination of rememberthemilk, kanboard, and obsidian for task management.
I want to move away from RTM to something selfhosted or at least local. Kanboard is great for kanban-style project management, but it’s a bit too heavy for a general todo list (like a grocery list).
I really want to like Nextcloud’s Deck and Tasks apps, but their UIs aren’t great and there’s no mobile app for Tasks.
But since nextcloud uses caldav for tasks, I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for todo apps that sync with caldav?
I’m currently aware of Tasks.org for android, and it seems okay so far. For MacOS, I tried the Reminders app and it doesn’t support repeating tasks or subtasks afaict. On Windows, I have no idea.
Small update to my own thread…
I like 2do but found the way it handles subtasks is incompatible with nextcloud. NC and Tasks.org are able to see subtasks created by each other though.
Apple reminders app doesn’t seem to work with subtasks at all when using caldav. So at the moment I can use tasks.org on android and NC web ui on the desktop, but I’m still looking for an alternative todo app to use on mac/windows.
