Not a fan of Carlin’s likeness being used by AI hacks. His brilliance was always matched by his authenticity, and there’s nothing authentic about AI.

It sorta sounds like him. But something is off. Maybe it’s too deep. The timing is off. His pauses for effect aren’t there. The tone of his voice is just wrong to my ear.

I did. Wasn’t very funny. Sounds way off. And it’s missing that gravitas and authenticity you get from a human. It’s hard to describe. I don’t like it in principal. And I don’t like the result. And the AI from a topics point view sounds like a grumpy edgy boomer. Real Carlin didn’t.

Whatever you think of the results or the implications, it’s hard to deny that it is in fact interesting. People downvoting you for saying so ought to be ashamed of themselves.

        People are scared.

There are many parts to that AI program that sound exactly like something Carlin would say.

It’s scary for people to think about.
