Whenever I return something from WMTM I have always just gotten a refund to my original form of payment.

Today when I did a return, I was told it was credit only. I realize that this is the policy, but I am confused about why I have never had them actually follow this policy until today. It seems like it actually up to their discretion?

I realize I have been lucky up until this point, but their laxness in policy did influence my purchase decision; since I have only ever had a refund I assumed that would continue.

I am in eastern Canada, if that helps.
