      It’s basically happening with all ink printers, HP is just the worst offender. Laser printers gotten cheap enough that even if you print 2 pages per year, it will be cheaper than paying to ink cartel.

        Laser is hands-down the way to go. I print a few pages a month TOPS. I’m still on the starter cartridges I got with the printer some 3 years ago, lol. Black is down to 1/4, yellow just over 1/2, and cyan/magenta still showing full. I rarely print in color though. May finally have to swap out the black this year with tax crap. My taxes have turned into a mess…

        The less you print, lasers are cheaper. Inkjets dry out if not used. Laser printers don’t.

          Yes, but actual printer costs more, ink printers are going for 10-20$ these days since they make money from ink. But they pay for themselves over time, since a few ink changes will cover the cost of them.

    And as we have learned, even if convicted to pay some fines, they’re paid off with a few hours of revenue. :D
