This finding demonstrates that ASD + ADHD is neither an endophenocopy nor an additive pathology of ASD and ADHD, but an entirely different neuroanatomical pathology. In addition, ASD + ADHD displayed altered GM volume asymmetries in the prefrontal regions responsible for executive function and theory of mind compared with ASD-only.
- deleted by creator - Usually https://annas-archive.org is best for that, but it seems this is too new to be on it yet.
- If using Firefox try using it’s “reader mode.” Usually gets past all paywalls.
- I tried the nexus bot, but it couldn’t find it. The article is pretty new (30/12/2023), so maybe it will take a moment to be uploaded? Not sure how Nexus works exactly, it’s supposed to have access to publishers.

- While I am in no position to understand the paper, the possibility of AuDHD being a different pathology is exciting to me. - It makes a great point on why we should pursue a dual diagnosis instead of focusing only on one side of it, regardless if that is ADHD or ASD. It’s a different problem and there is no guarantee that remedies for either pathology are going to help AuDHD people. - It’s disappointing how little research there is on AuDHD, and hopefully findings like this are going to help us get more attention to our problems.
- I didn’t get diagnosed with ADHD until I pursued it viciously as an adult. I always wonder how I could have actually been treated as a child instead of dealing with doctors arguing if I was ADHD or ASD, as I could only be given one label back then (2000s). Good to see that there is now research being done on this and that we are moving forward finally. - Do you still have the pdf of the paper? I couldn’t access it through the links you provided and it’s not on Sci-Hub yet. It looks interesting and I’d like to read it :) - You can download the paper here: https://we.tl/t-tQf5WF46I5 - It expires in 7 days, if you miss it, give me a ping and I will send a new link. Or add me on matrix (link in bio) and I will send it there. - I’ve got it. Thanks!
