Senpwai is a free and open-source desktop app designed for conveniently batch downloading anime. Ever thought, “Damn, I really wish there was a way to download all the One Piece episodes in a few clicks,” well, that’s exactly what Senpwai is built for, 3 clicks to be exact.

Features

  • Download any anime from Animepahe or Gogoanime.
  • Download a complete season or episodes within a range (e.g., 69-420).
  • Choose between video qualities: 360p, 480p (Gogoanime only), 720p, or 1080p.
  • Download in sub or dub (if available) depending on the user’s preference.
  • Automatically detects episodes you already have and avoids re-downloading them.
  • Robust and graceful download error management.
  • Goofy aah ahh GUI and Amogus.

Installation

You can find the installation instructions on the Github repo.

Why would anyone use this over torrents?

As someone who comes from a third-world country where Wi-Fi is a luxury, sometimes the download sizes for anime torrents are pretty fucking large and cause you’re on limited data that shit gets expensive real quick (Torrents for TV shows, movies, and games usually have manageable sizes though).

So the only viable option is to download from streaming sites, which works fine for a few episodes, but if you want to download a full season it’s a pain in the ass cause for instance with Animepahe you have to click like 5 links per episode and also wait for the pages to load, resulting to like a billion browser tabs, and this is assuming your internet doesn’t disconnect forcing you to repeat the process and use up more data. My goal with Senpwai is to help these people, people like me.
