Seeking information
I own about 26 acres of property in central Alabama. We are considering clearing out some of the land and are wondering what to expect as far as cutting/stump removal etc. I have seen some timber companies purchase the trees including the roots for furniture slabs, etc. Essentially we have about 10 acres of lightly wooded area we want to clear minus a few trees and a couple of additional acres of dense growth. From walking the property, we have a mix of hickory, walnut, oak and pine. Majority is old growth (30 years or more). Can anyone provide insight? We do intend to work with forester.
