An upgradable laptop seems kind of pointless when the screen and speakers are not upgradable and are subpar.. - eviltoast

I really like the concept but the speakers and screen aren’t premium at all.

I have a decade old Dell XPS. Similar weight, but it has a much better 4k AMOLED screen and better speakers and a touch screen. It’s not really worth it to me to upgrade to something that isn’t better all around, or at least has a screen that exceeds my current one in some ways.

If Framework offered a screen upgrade (both in quality and touch screen) and better speakers it’d probably be an instant buy for me. But why would I want to keep the shell of a laptop that isn’t premium?
