How did holocaust survivors back then (those who were directly impacted by nazis and were rescued from concentration camps) view what happened to the Palestinians back in 1948?

Did they have any moral trepidations or did they see that as something necessary /payback after the horrors they had went through?

I’m genuinely curious.
