I’d like to preface this by saying I have ADHD so it’s hard enough for me to stick to playing a game or watching a show for that matter. I’ve had a PC for a few years now yet I never really played it. I upgrade my PC all the time yet I never play or finish any games on it, i’ll get on, look for a game to play, load up a game and then get off after a few minutes and just stare at my library or i’ll start browsing the store for games that peak my interest. I’m big into narrative driven games but they have to grab my attention very quickly or i’ll get bored and distracted . I have similar issues when i’m playing on my PS5 but no where near as bad, I’ve been able to finish quite a few games on PS5 as opposed to never finishing a game on PC. I’ve been able to beat The Last of Us 1 & 2, GOW & GOW Ragnarok, Spiderman 1, Ghost of Tsushima, A PlaguesTale/ Plagues Tale Requiem etc. yet I can’t play games on PC, there’s too many options with all the graphics settings and mods, I feel like there’s too many things that distracts me on pc which makes it impossible for me to beat and enjoy games. I like the customization on PC because sometimes on console a game will have motion blur that can’t be turned off along with other graphical options, so the customization of pc is great but appears to be a double edged sword for someone with ADHD like myself. Any advice? I also prefer playing with a controller as I can’t get comfortable playin on keyboard for the life of me, I also just don’t wanna come home from work and use a keyboard, a controller feels much more comfy.
