I have! I returned to the theater in 2023 after avoiding it from 2020 - 2022. IMAX theaters are where it’s at. Even when watching the movie in normal letterbox resolution, it seems like the theaters are mostly empty, and the ability to reserve your seat when you buy your ticket allows one to choose a good seat that is at least 6’ away from everyone else.
This is in San Diego, and LA where these theaters should be packed. They still are packed opening day, and maybe even opening week, but after that the crowds thin to the point that 60% - 80% of the theater is empty.
I haven’t been in a theater since 2018. I will end that streak if turns out Tim Russ has a speaking roll in this movie.
Haven’t been since pre-shutdown early 2020, myself.
It’ll be worth it.
