Airlines have condemned government plans to stop them charging parents to sit beside their children, warning that the changes threaten the ability to profit from making a three-year-old cry.

I was all seated ready for take off and the guy next to me (impolite tone) said “you go up there, I want to sit with my wife”

If somebody was polite I’d consider it but he was a dick, and could have paid to sit with his travel partner.

For all he knows I could have paid for this exact seat.

I fly quite often and I usually do pay for my seat. Always want an aisle seat, dislike the trapped feeling sitting in the middle or window, and never want to bother the other people if I need to get out for some reason. Also prefer to get the front of the plane to deboard faster.

This is how we know you’re Canadian, and the other guy was Toronto.
