Na, just don’t connect them to gender and it’s no problem. Doesn’t matter what it is. Desire to “crossdress”? Probably nothing. Wish for bottom surgery? Certainly no reason to think about it being gender related . Cry yourself to sleep because you “can’t” be another gender? Why would you even consider that adjacent to being about gender.

You can always start some of the steps that are slow acting like HRT or laser if those are things you want while still boymoding.
I’ll consider HRT when I go fully remote. Honestly the uncertainty of how it’ll turn out kind of scares the shit out of me, when it comes to big decisions I am a big coward :<

No worries. I’m a coward as well. I started HRT 2.5 years ago and now I’m a bit worried getting laser because I suspect my facial hair does a lot of work in being able to boymode despite everything else.
I’m so scared of noticable colors that I’m thinking about trying transparent (but glossy) nail polish.
I thought about animal transformations the last days and it seems I very constantly prefered to be a female animals. But since that’s mostly about roles and humans are more flexible with roles, it probably doesn’t matter much. (And I can’t get pregnant even if I wanted to.)
transparent nail polish is nice, also i can say that just plain black nail polish feels very fem compared to nothing at all, but gets read as pretty androgynous. i painted my nails black for like 4 months straight and nobody said a thing; within a day of adding other colors there were multiple people who brought it up (both supportive and not). in other words, black nails are ideal for feeling fem while boymoding :3
Idk if this actually helps but I thought I’d offer just in case: I’m a very cishet-coded man, and I wear bright glossy colored nail polish a few times a year for sporting events. I get them painted in team colors to show my support, and as best I can tell people perceive it as being very traditionally male when they ask and I start happily babbling about sports. If you have a particular color way you want to try, I’m happy to help you find a team that matches and some talking points about them so you can try painting your nails more ostentatiously and still have a cover story.
My favorite color is shocking pink, which makes things a bit difficult, I guess. But I’m also not interested in sports at all
Inter Miami (men’s soccer) and the San Diego Wave (women’s soccer) both wear a shocking pink. Angel City (women’s soccer) wear a more muted pink if that’s your style. Woso is a bit more clocky because the fandom is very queer, but being a bandwagon Miami fan because you saw Messi in this year’s World Cup is a very stereotypical cis dude behavior. I don’t mean to try to strong arm you into caring about sports, I’m just mentioning an option.
