If you really wanted to market fake ones, you’d offer it customized with whatever name you want on the front, which would make it more valuable.

These things aren’t actually that fancy and not actually that big of a deal. Especially if, say, Gabe just got a gold play button plaque and wants to monetize getting rid of the old silver one.
I suppose I don’t have solid evidence, but I looked up @gabe on YouTube, and while hes doing well, he’s not at 100k yet
