Appalachian Mountains.
Not sure why that has better climate.
Likely less clouds. I think it’s in the 80s in the summer.

Would love to see this crossed with average humidity.
Garbage indicator, the red areas (especially the southernmost ones like LA) are way too hot. That’s not good weather, that’s the kind of weather where everyone who can has their AC running six months a year.
