New mancave is basically a concrete bunker akin to the Maginot line. WIFI PROBLEMS - eviltoast

As the title says, I’m setting up my mancave in the only space/room available: Its in the garage and under the patio, with 1 concrete wall going to the garage and the patio (ceiling of the room) is concrete. the other 4 walls are underground foundation concrete walls.

Wifi speed in the house is 220mpbs. I still get signal in the bunker but it floats around 9-13 mbps. We tried using an extender (5 years old) and it didnt change much. This wont do as gaming is what I plan on doing down there. Would a wifi booster or something else do the Trick? We have a comcast supplied router and currently my options (as I see it) are as follows:

Professional job: Cat6 out of the router into the wall and down through the garage ceiling, then along the ceiling and into the room. Problem is I have no idea how to even start this project, and am fully expecting to ruin the wall and the ceiling of the garage. I know myself and this would be a disaster. So I would have to hire someone and I cant spend that type of money.

Janky Job: Cat6 out of the router, on the hardwood floor under a cable hider, down the stairs, along the edge of the garage and into the room. Easy peasy, and the wife hates the idea but she’s willing to go along with it while I figure out a less intrusive plan.

So again my question is am I using a bazooka to kill a fly, IE should I just get a $50 wifi booster? Or are there other options I am missing?

If you have Coax…just use a Moca 2.5 Bridge. Problem solved. Just as fast as CAT6E. A lot of people don’t know they exist
