2 pin power LED to 3 pin motherboard with no middle pin - eviltoast

I’ve run into an interesting situation with the Gigabyte MC13-LE0.

The front panel header on the motherboard has a 3 pin power LED header but importantly instead of a double of one pin (ie, +±) which would allow one to use either a 2 pin or 3 pin plug the middle pin is not present.

Any common ways to turn a 2 pin power LED plug to a 3 pin plug? I’m happy to do a bit of soldering / crimping, just not sure where to get the supplies. I think in my ideal world I’d convert the Power LED lead cables to a 3 pin plug but also open to a place that sells adapters.

The pins are called “DuPont connectors” - you’d want to chop the LED-side and use a 3 pin female DuPont instead of a 2 pin. If this is something you think you’ll do more than once, I’d buy a crimper on Amazon or wherever (they’re ~$25 last time I checked). But, you could also pull the two wires out of the connector and keep the crimps on them, and then just stick them into the DuPont plastic shell which would avoid needing a new pair of crimpers. To remove them, there’s usually a little tiny plastic tab on one side for each contact that you can pry up with a little tiny screwdriver.
