That’s… awkward - eviltoast

I guess apple forgot that the iPhone SE doesn’t have Face ID… or maybe it’s a sign of a future iPhone SE with Face ID?!

Context: it’s an iPhone SE (2022, 3rd gen). Initiating name drop while the phone is locked results in the prompt asking for authentication, which is Face ID on basically all iPhones but the SE, yet it seems Apple forgot about that and the message for authentication still asks for Face ID, which the iPhone SE models don’t have.

I had a friend set up his nose as a key on his fingerprint sensor years ago. I’m not sure how secure it is, but it does at least work to unlock the phone.
