Do you use the swipe typing? - eviltoast

I use it almost exclusively/when it makes sense to. But so many people are surprised that I use it.

Part of it is because I was an android user until about 2015 and that was always a feature on the phones I had. I also use it because I have small hands and the biggest iPhone so I find it easier to type one-handed sometimes.

Speaking of typing, the new iPhone typing update has been horrible for me at least who uses an older iPhone. I mean I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max but only 12 and above get the better predictive text I think. Seems like now the predictive text is way worse. It always auto corrects to something that doesn’t make sense and does it too often. They added the thing where it underlines an autocorrected word so you can easily revert it but it’s just annoying to have to revert it.

I thought everyone used swipe. I can’t imagine typing characters one by one, it would take me forever. I’ve used Android up until the 15pm.

Absolutely. Far quicker and more accurate. Typed this out with gloves on just now.

Although, I’m not convinced ios 17 is an improvement.

I physically have to with my iPhone 15 Pro right now because manually typing as quickly as I do causes every 3-5 characters to not be registered.

And yes, I swipe type faster than most people type, but it took awhile to get to this point.

almost exclusively - but proofreading for typos is essential. i learned my lesson when i typed and quickly sent “here”, as in “we’re still here”, to my mother. turned out to be “we’re still heterosexual”

Honestly no, I’m not a huge fan of sliding my thumb all over the screen and typing with one hand is about as fast. Didn’t use it much when I was in Android phones back in the day either.

I use swipe text exclusively. I even downloaded Gboard keyboards before it was a function natively on iphones.

I do and i hate it. I used android forever but when i switched over the hit points for words are just different enough to mess me up. I hate typing though so i just suffer.

I only use swipe. Just can’t imagine typing using the keys anymore on mobile.

The iOS keyboard is not very swipe friendly. So I use the Google keyboard.
