Swipe gestures on Android is still superior - eviltoast

I know this topic has been discussed many times in the past. I really wanted to give an iPhone a try coming from an Android, but the navigation on the phone seems to be a huge downgrade.

The back button is in most applications out of reach with one hand. And swiping on the right edge is not user friendly for a right hander.

On android you can do that from both sides and it makes the overall experience much smoother!

Will apple ever catch up with android?

I came from android too and have to disagree. Only had the 15PM a few weeks but the fact a slight down swipe at the bottom of the screen brigs the screen down to reachable with one hand is a total winner. Android doesn’t do this and iPhone wins for this alone.

Android have that feature too but I never use it in both. Back gesture on Android is better since you can use them on both sides and it work with every application.

That down gesture I had the s21 ultra and the s22 ultra and it never worked on either. Not through lack of trying either.

It worked on my regular S22, but I hardly use it. I feel like that’s the main problem with Android - lot of features but only a few work well. Still, I have to admit, the back gesture is better than the iPhone.
