I would love to see a libre version or a version not released on Google Play. It would be possible to monetize it like FairMail or Threema Libre. It would be a win for all parties.

- more customers for the sync team
- advocacy for libre software
I never said it wasn’t possible, but it would require more work for the developer to handle it.
I mean, Cryptomator does sell a license for their software outside of the Play Store but they had to put the extra backend in place to do so.
