After anti-LGBTQ+ neo-Nazi leader Christopher Pohlhaus purchased a 10.6-acre property in Springfield, Maine with the hopes of turning it into a Nazi training ground, local residents found out about his plan and made him feel very unwelcome. He eventually sold the property, blaming “militant leftists” for the unwanted attention he earned.
Pohlhaus is founder of the fascist group “Blood Tribe,” a group that protested an Ohio drag brunch last May. His group chanted the words “Blood,” “Under the Aryan Sun,” and “No transgenders on our streets,” while throwing Nazi salutes. He also led a similar protest against a drag queen story hour in Akron, Ohio in mid-March.
Citizens in blue states are rushing to limit their second amendment rights all while citizens in red states are busy expanding their own. Fascist militias are popping up all over the place, and while I’m optimistic and hopeful regarding the future there may come a time we’ll wish we had access to normal capacity magazines and non-nerfed rifles. Jon Stewart isn’t coming to your rescue when they have you on our knees in front of a ditch.
Liberals need to start listening to what these people are saying, they’re very clearly telling us what kind of America they want to live in and what they’re willing to do to get there. Conservatives may often seem like a joke, but they’re dead fucking serious.
If we somehow dodge this theofascist wave we’ve still got uber capitalists to deal with, and given the chance they’ll take everything we’ve got. If you’re healthy enough to shoot, educate and arm yourselves, it’s your civic responsibility.
I am 100% with you about believing people when they tell you who they are. They’ll cut off their own nose to spite their face, never, ever underestimate a conservatives capacity to withstand hardship or pain if it’s causing their rival more or the same. It’s inspiring, in all the wrong ways.

Look into it. I live in a blue Western state outside the major metropolitan area, which I worked in for 15 years.
Id say a good 80% of the people I know vote Dem and id say a SOLID 85% of everyone I know across the board owns a gun. Everyone is armed, in their homes/apartments at a minimum.
Interestingly, out of the 1000s of ppl I know, veterans (and students 😞) want gun control the most, while those I know in working on the force or in law in a another capacity and vehemently against. Which is kind of mind blowing. Gun control would make a cops job easier, maybe not in the first year, but it’d cumulatively stack. Australia did it, it can be done, save any arguments unless you want to explain how another unruly offspring if the British Empire is soooo culturally different than we are.
Anyways, tons of Liberals own guns, like guns, and can actually afford to take them to the range all the fucking time, they just don’t fucking yap on and on about it and make it their personality.

Yup. I’m not anti-gun, I’m anti-assholes-having guns. And they constantly prove that they aren’t up to the responsibility to keep weapons.

And they’re not quite the fringe nut cases they used to be.
Most of us seem to be Americans on here, and we haven’t ever had to fight, well, anything. And that includes me.
I’ll fight for my family and my home, and the rest of you, given the chance. But I can hardly do much, self-defense is on all of us.
I’m not brave or badass. Neither am I harmless. And “harmless” is a choice. And I’ll post this until I’m blue in the face.
