What gets me is, why come into America? They had already reached Canada. Canadians seem alot more chill then us. Or does Canada have less tolerance for illegal immigration than the US?
Also, Amurica is not nearly all it’s cracked up to be. You actually would have more freedoms living in Canada than you would in the US. Canada also has its issues with immigration but they’re not nearly as intolerant as the states. N.B. I am a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. I was born in the US and am 50% Canadian.
That’s what I thought. I’m trying to wrap my head around why someone who had already illegally entered Canada would then try to get into the the US. The only answer that seems to make any sense is if they were trying to link up with family already in the States.
I would tend to agree!

The climate could also be a significant factor.
Canadians are surprisingly conservative in my experience. Their reputation as the U.S. but nicer is not upheld by their government, who has a record nearly as bad as the US in it’s treatment of brown people, continuing all the way up to today.
Too cold?
Is it possible they charge more for less? The smugglers, I mean? Longer route = more expensive to the immigrant?
