I don’t and won’t play games with in-game ads. No matter how good they apparently are otherwise, I’ll never know.

I know it’s available, but it doesn’t pop up on its own unless you’re loading multiple files.

I hope her pants get caught and a bloodbath ensues!
I don’t remember VLC’s playlist showing up at all unless you open multiple files at once

The arcade levels also seemed really short to me. The boss designs were better, but the clunky movement made the experience worse IMO.

Aren’t they all just the same God under different names?

NES Contra is just better in every way except graphics. The arcade version has clunky, awkward movement compared to the console version. But it also wasn’t made to suck quarters out of your pocket until you were broke.
I’ve never had any luck with Lutris, it was always troublesome to get things working for me, but tbf I haven’t used it in a while,
If itch is something you care about, you may want to stick with what you’re used to, as Heroic doesn’t do itch natively.
You shouldn’t touch frogs with your bare hands. Their skin can absorb all kinds of nasty crap from your hands.
Heroic lets you log in on your GOG, Epic, and Amazon accounts and then can install your games directly from your library and sets up Proton like on Steam. It’s not 100% as user-friendly, but it’s pretty effective.

You ever see a Russky drink tapwater, Mandrake?

That’s why I always set my presence to offline. Nobody needs to know what I’m playing right this moment.
Heroic launcher pretty much does the same for GOG games. Sad that it needs a third-party launcher, but it works quite well.

Failure to protect a trademark can cause the trademark to become genericized. I’m pretty sure that doesn’t apply to everything. Velcro fights hard for people to call their product “hook and loop fasteners” because they don’t want other companies to sell their products as Velcro, and it’s also why Nintendo was fighting for people to stop calling other consoles Nintendos in the 80’s and 90’s.
I don’t think you can genericize Mega Man, for example. Nobody’s going to call other types of games Mega Mans. In this case, it’s a copyright infringement, whether sanctioned or not. They’re not going to lose their trademark over Mega Man for this.

Basically for every 3500 excess Calories consumed, your body stores about 1 lb of fat, and for every 3500 Calories burned, you lose about 1 lb of fat. If your intake is equal to your output, there’s nothing being stored.
You would have to get that burn rate 2300 Calories above the intake rate, so yeah if your daily output is 2300 Calories, you’d have to eat literally nothing for 30 days to lose 20 lbs.
Considering the game is available DRM-free on GOG, it should be easy to find an installer somewhere.

20 lbs of fat is 70,000 Calories. That means that you need to be at a net deficit of about 2300 Calories daily to lose 20lbs in a month. That’s a huge deficit which would require eating little and working very hard to hit anything near that.
But how many of them are upset at Canada?
