Xmas dinner went well. We got a bonus and a healthy Westfield giftcard!!!

Edit: pretty wild considering I’ve been there 5 weeks.

I don’t want the ptv app to plan my trip, I want a pocket database where I can select a route and see the timetable. Boo.

Sky pretty, but I feel sad from what’s happened at Bondi. I was just there yesterday. It’s horrific.

I am apparently on the University of Tasmania ‘Roll of Excellence’ for my results in the Diploma of Sustainable Living. I did not know such a thing existed and doubt it will have any impact on anything, but I guess it’s a nice thing to know.

Very fancy. My High School got closed too, although I don’t know who was responsible for it. The site is now a community centre and dog park, so I’ve been able to take Mr Woof there to take a dump on the place.

Not related to my work at all. It is primarily aimed at sustainability in your own life and community, although there are also some more scientific subjects available in things like climate change. I’ve done subjects about gardening, home and landscape design for climate, increasing biodiversity and preparing for bushfires. It’s been very interesting. It’s also free under a HECS waiver, so you use the govt. credits towards the course but don’t pay anything yourself. If you are wanting to go on to do study in that area it would be a good option and some of the subjects can be used for credits towards a bachelor degree.

Someone on the Melbourne Reddit sub mentioned doing it and I’m glad they did, I got a bit over it by the end but it has been good to do. (so thanks to the Reddit user from three years ago whose name always reminded me of 5sos but was actually something else)

I got on one of the busses on the way hone and a girl already on there said “look at all the people” in reference to everyone getting off the train. I had to restrain myself a bit explaining how trains are such a great way to move people around and this proves it with how many buses are required for a single train

A woman in my team was sick all of last week so she missed out on Kris Kringle. My girlfriend got one of those “random scoops” of dice from some fantasy store so we’ve put together two sets.

I’ll bring them both in and try determine her favourite colour from the classic indicators; phone case, nails, drink bottle, and I’ll give her the set that closest matches

TIL how to turn up or change songs etc from my watch to my new little speaker.

Husband: Technology is becoming obsolete and you’re just catching up.

    Me: 🤷‍♀️ 🙂

Every night my cat sleeps in the human bed and every morning receives breakfast in bed. Now she’s washing herself.

I’m coming back as a loved elderly cat

Blerg ride on mower is cutting unevenly.

Time to do crash YT courses and pretend to know what I’m doing. Already been serviced twice in 3 months :'(

Hoping it’s just tyre pressure. Anything else will be a head scratcher.

I was told in no uncertain terms that we were going outside today. There was banging on the door. I was reluctant, worried that Melbcat could wait for a chance to abscond. I managed to get a cuddle but she was adamant. Eventually my guilt won so after making a cuppa we went out.

    spoiler

Not sure why she sooks a bit sometimes when she’s outside. Either a uti is coming back, or maybe it’s her age?

My umbrella sailed away with the wind, I found tomato seedlings among the flowers, and I couldn’t find my spot in the book. Neighbours dog was barking at me in my own damn yard and nutcase neighbour briefly moved around.

Eventually we needed to come back in for the bathroom.

Noticing that people seem to be arseholes to me online more frequently lately, and getting some stronger ‘drift’ energy off the last few online friends. Even maybe a bit of a funny vibe. And it’s like… ok. I only stuck around for you so guess I know what time it is.🚶

I don’t feel like doing art today but I might anyway this evening. It is a human activity and I have to do something. It just sucks that something that used to be inspiring is now mechanical. Same for reading. Crochet also boring.

I hope I can wrangle my brain back into books because both irl and online suck.

      I read a book today!

A book about Australiana. I now know what to look for in op shops in country towns. 🙂
