Have been trying this on the betas and it’s surprisingly accurate. Better than Rain Parrot and Carrot Weather’s implementations so far.

I think you were able to turn the setting on for this a fair while ago even if it didn’t support your region yet. Because I’m not on the beta and these started just working for me about a week and a half ago. I checked the support doc at the time and it didn’t say Australia yet so I was pretty confused.

Maybe I was part of some early A/B testing? It doesn’t seem like there was an OS update to enable it, I’m still on 16.5 not 16.5.1. The API probably updated and the app just processes that data for whatever regions it gets sent it for.

Cool, just enabled it, we’ll see how it goes. The BOM way of showing rain chance is hugely confusing to me so I hope Apple is better.

What, you don’t like the “25% (low) chance of 0 mm, 50% (medium) chance if 0 mm”? What’s confusing about that? 🧐

Funny, it appeared yesterday on my Lock Screen and then disappeared today. BOM app radar goes into the future anyway so no loss.

Very wet in BrisVegas today and the Apple Weather app has been getting a good workout for me.

Strangely Rain Parrot has been quiet all day—checked the settings and they seem to be correct so not sure what’s going on.
