I work for a services company, and we’re not getting much right now. Just wanted to ask about work availability across the board.
I work in the energy market in Europe. Things are booming right now.
Summed up as
T H E E N E R G Y T RA N S I T I O N
Not that that means anything to people outside the industry (spoiler: it means our energy networks need upgrading to accommodate all those solar panels in the network, and all that generated energy needs to be tracked, which it’s not as of today, because only a handful of locations used to generate energy, which we didn’t need to track)
I’m just a data engineer, but that shit is pretty fascinating in and of itself!
That’s great to hear! I’m in the manufacturing sector in the US. Things seem tight.
Interest rates seem slightly correlated with spending sentiment, but I have mostly just seen folks reigning in excessive project spending and trying to manage project cash flow a little more aggressively. Might depend on the subset of mfg you are involved with.
That sounds tough. Are jobs in other sectors near you also dried up?
Assuming danish. Need any more developers? In search for a danish software gig //swede
If you want to enter the energy trading market, look at Aalborg as there’s a large hub here. I know my company is on a hiring spree and are no stranger to hiring foreign people as long as it’s the best match. Some companies might also have departments in Copenhagen. As I don’t want to doxx myself I’d rather avoid naming my workplace.
But do be careful with consultancy and stay far away from Netcompany.
