So I’ve been looking at lots of things I want to buy and want a proper tech pouch. Currently I use those cloth pencil cases, but I want something better like an Alpaka tech pouch. Are there any other good brands?
Also, does iFixIt sell some decent repair kits I can keep in my backpack? Don’t want anything too big and relatively compact for emergencies.
I also always keep several ethernet cables and have found some on Amazon that roll up and wondering if they’re any good or should I just stick with my current ones?
The Husky document organizer is my go to pouch for tech and small tools. Its well made and durable. My kid even took one of mine for school for pencils and school supplies. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-12-in-Document-Organizer-Bag-HD25100-TH/312387500
Edit: this is also a good pouch set if you want different sizes https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-Assorted-Size-Parts-Organizer-Pouch-Bag-Set-HD25200-TH/312387470
Some of the ifixit tools are really good and others are fine but none are bad. I have a variety of tech tools over the years and some of my regulars are random or no name brands. Just read reviews and get what you think will work.
Also don’t use the thin ethernet cables as they are usually not properly shielded. Maybe fine for a really short run but not worth the risk.
I use some of the MODs from Orbitgear to hold my tech stuff.
