      He just needs the illusion that it’s profitable. He doesn’t care if user engagement is shitting on him, as long as users are still engaged. Once he’s lined his pockets, he’s gonna jump ship. But not before he’s able to milk every penny he thinks he can get.

          Honestly I just assume these people are driven by their greed and only care about numbers

          Morality is a lost concept these days, people just want power and money

          I guess to be fair, I have lost just about all my faith in society/humanity so I just assume the worst lately.

            If he’s just looking to cash out and move on then what he’s doing makes sense. Otherwise it’s insanity. He’ll be going down with the ship. As far as investors, I think it’s mostly speculation.

      But at the end of the day all his volunteers just want the power, so they caved. Yeah, maybe they got annoyed, but not enough to do anything about it.

      Users on the other hand…
