What is this weird obsession with “tankies” that…basically nobody has ever fucking heard of anyhow? I only just recently saw this shit on lemmy and there’s a lot of weirdo weebs who keep calling everyone a tankie for the most random shit. Are you guys okay?

My guy, tankies infest this site. Can’t hardly go a post without a few coming out and saying “War Crimes Good, Actually” or “Ukronazis are the REAL villains here”. You’re on Lemmyworld, which is defederated with Hexbear, the biggest offender on the Fediverse, so you quite literally don’t see them.

My dude, they are all over the place on the fediverse. You not knowing about them means you’ve been sheltered so far. They are by and far the worst ones for posting nasty things on here and it’s a very good bet that if you see someone from lemmygrad they are most likely a tankie. Look it up if you don’t know what it is.

Unfortunately, moderators and administrators on some places do, and it seems nobody does anything about it. I can’t stop hearing “the fediverse is free of fascists”, but it’s only free of half of them, who are those on the far right.

Me too, neither is better. My comment was just about that double-edged sword that mods and admins show (not only here), as in “some fascists are bad and some fascists are good”, despite both of them are equally fascists.
