TNA SEEKING $10 MILLION MEDIA RIGHTS DEAL, SEEKS TO GO LIVE WEEKLY, SALE NOT OUT OF QUESTION | PWInsider.com - eviltoast

[T]he company is being represented by CAA in media rights discussions and is seeking a $10 million a year deal.

A “new media rights deal will help us build a more consistent fan base with larger reach,” Silva said. “It will also provide us the opportunity to go live 52 weeks a year, and in today’s world live matters [in terms of fan interest and revenues].”

“There are a couple of networks, that look like Spike [TV] in today’s world, we could be a good fit for; the same way [UFC and TNA were for that network a decade or two ago].”

Silva did not shoot down the idea of selling off their Sports Division if they cannot make the brand profitable.

That division includes TNA as well as INVITCA and The Fight Network.

“TNA is not yet profitable. But the business is said to be ‘moving in the right direction’.”

TNA wants a TV channel to pay them $10m per year to air Impact, if TNA were up for sale for $10m WWE would certainly make a play just to get the media library.

Thanks. Not sure how I missed the TV deal detail.

Edit: would anyone pay TNA $10M/year for the TV rights? That seems like a steep price. Their TV is still rather ‘blah’. Maybe if WWE keeps loaning them stars.

Piefed auto filled in that Screaming Title, I thought I had fixed it but it still came out screaming, my bad.

I think 10mm is a fair number for TNA, I don’t see how going live though would help them with the budget nor do I see a network looking for wrestling that AEW and WWE don’t have rights to.

WB, Disney, and Comcast own most of cable, that pretty much leaves independent networks and Disney networks as possible. The problem with Disney is that they like the rest of cable are looking to offload channels, having put their A&E Family of channels up for potential sale.

Basically from what I can tell, TNA gets a new TV deal or they become ROH on Sinclair until Anthem can spin off or sale the sports properties.

True, but it was just as easy to point out it happened in the comment I was already working on and leave it, more of a PSA, maybe just for me, that if you moved to Piefed from Lemmy to double check the title before hitting the submit button.
