Are there any terms that describe this? - eviltoast

I’ve heard of this from friends where people will feel like their assigned gender at birth but in a sorta trans way, like an AFAB person who feels like a woman but in an AMAB or trans way. They often identify more with trans people, so she would identify more with trans women than cis women.

I resonate with this. I’m perfectly comfortable with my gender identity but I’ve always kind of felt like an imposter. I get along fine with guys, but I’ve always felt more ‘at home’ with girls.

Like, when I’m hanging out with guys I’m pretending to be a cis male, and I’m always aware of my demeanor, and try to match the energy of who I’m with.

With women I don’t have to be conscious about it, I just speak how I want to and the only thing I’m worried about is whether they feel like I might be hitting on them or something.

Honestly, it’s probably just a minor social anxiety lol
