    Exactly. Those who create and profit from a product are most interested in making money off it and will avoid regulations and restrictions as much as possible. Commercial airlines aren’t safe because the companies wanted to keep their customers safe, but rather because the regulations were put in place after all kinds of accidents.

    Translation: please set up expensive and convoluted regulatory schemes to prevent any small company from competing with us.

      Exactly. So much of this AI safety talk is science fiction tier gloom and doom that is used by advocates, critics, businesses, etc as a means to push an agenda. I’m just here fine tuning HuggingFace models, happy that the model didn’t puke out word soup.
