Nuclear hand-in-hand with renewables seems about right. France seem to be the only country in Europe laughing at the bar, it’d be nice to join them for a friendly drink

We’ve had decades of misinformation and fear mongering about nuclear energy. Conflating it with arguments against nuclear weapons and effectively putting a stop on building the necessary infrastructure for it which we’re paying for now.

To be fair we’ve also done an incredibly bad job at rebuffing this misinformation and fear mongering from politicians and scientists alike. Whereas the French took the approach of saying “Non! Taisez-vous les hippies!”
