He wants to be a wartime leader, so that he can suspend the usual political processes and keep himself in power
He also wants to command an army at war
He has delusions that he’s a tough guy, and he thinks that playing with the lives of others will somehow make him more manly
He’s an idiot on his best day, and his ego and stupidity will cost lives
Anyone who believed he was anti-war, simply wasn’t paying attention to what he’s been doing. Even during his last run, he pretty much took the guardrails off the military’s actions, while removing all pretense of public accountability.
History just doesn’t matter lol, people believe what they want. I still see people spouting lines about how many people Obama killed with drone strikes (which, let me be clear, he did get a lot of innocent people killed), but halfway through Trump’s first term the number of strikes had already surpassed Obama’s full tenure. Then Trump’s administration stopped keeping the tally at all, aka “removing all pretense of public accountability.”
Yet somehow I never see people shitting on Trump for that, only Obama.
Because, underneath the makeup, Trump is white.
