He’s got the right idea for sure. If I had to nitpick one thing it would be that there seems no realization that the time for talk seems all but over. You wont convince a MAGAt with civilized talk. They’re in a cult, and deep. They may be poor bastards but they cant help themselves. And without being a strong professional in psychology and rhetorics, you, the average Joe won’t be able to change that fact. When one’s that indoctrinated NO arguments will convince them they might have taken a weird and/or possibly dangerous path. All you’ll get is deflection and denial. We see it in the rallies, we see it in this very forum, we see it all over the internet.

Imo it is purely about damage prevention at this point. Dont let them have the absolute power they crave. And that’s where Biden is absolutely right: Vote. Show up.

I know Biden’s not that guy, but the ethics problem at the Supreme Court should be viewed as a weakness to attack, not as the sole source of problems there.

But he said, “I do think at the end of the day, this court, which has been one of the most extreme courts, I still think in the basic fundamentals of rule of law, that they would sustain the rule of law.”

They didn’t sustain the rule of law when overturning 50 years of precedent or when it tore up the Voting Rights Act and defanged the EPA. They’re not going to get better if you just say they’re fundamentally doing good legal work.
