It seems like there’s more to it since you generally also have to pay the union dues, is that factored into the math here?

Unions are tricky. Police union that keeps cops from being punished? Idk maybe not great. Union that pays dock workers that don’t actually work to keep automation from ruining the job landscape? I’m not sure. Teachers negotiating for fair pay? Seems great!!

Like all things in society, we need nuance, not “unions good” or “unions bad”

Average union dues are typically 1-3%. This claims an 18% increase in weekly salary for union workers… So what are you thinking isn’t getting factored in here and what is your point if it isn’t represented inb these numbers?

Unions aren’t “tricky”, they are vital.

Nope. Unions are good. Most every, if not all, good things about a job that we know of came from unions.

You and/or anybody saying unions are bad either is uneducated or trying to pull wool over people eyes.

Think about it for another minute. Nobody pays $800/mo in Union dues, and we haven’t talked about other benefits like PTO, health, and working conditions.
