/r/technology might just have stricter external URLs policies, mentioning to /r/RedditAlternatives was the way to go
Still shocking to me that /r/RedditAlternatives isn’t just one big “USE LEMMY/PIEFED/MBIN” sticky post but on the other hand there are a lot of Fedi-resitant people there so maybe it’s a good thing to give that illusion of choice.
I hate how reddit has so many hidden rules…
Sounds like r/technology has something in their automod config blocking one or more of those links.
I see that someone else made a similar comment replacing piefed.social with piefed dot social
