Rechargeable LED lamp - eviltoast

I’d like to build a small light that i can use to cast a shadow to a wall.

It needs a single led that’s really small and bright and that can be recharged. Also I want to put it in a special casing.

However I don’t really know how to build one myself. So I had the I bright idea to take apart a flashlight that is rechargeable, but I’m not sure which one can be dismantled.

Do you have any idea what flashlight I could use or what parts I would need?

    I had the bright idea

Haha, I enjoyed that. Although you’re pursuing using parts from a flashlight, I wish to point out that LEDs are now fairly straightforward to put together into a full lighting solution. Generally, it would be an LED module, an optic, and the driver circuit. Maybe a heatsink too. Ok, maybe this is somewhat complicated lol

I’m not affiliated with that supplier, but I’ve bought from them before to build a custom headlight for a bicycle.

I already tried to calculate the right resistance for a 5 w Led, but that’s beyond me. Especially when I want to recharge the batteries.

I looked into Torch replacement bulbs. They seem to be simple enough…
